PE Sports Premium
At St. John’s School we are fully committed to engaging all pupils in regular physical activity in break and lunch times, along with at least two hours a week of timetabled PE curriculum and a variety of extra-curricular physical activities.
We fully recognise the contribution of PE to the health and wellbeing of all our children. We provide an inclusive and progressive PE curriculum throughout the school and offer a range of extra-curricular activities.
PE and Sport Premium
PE and Sport Premium is funding allocated by the Government to enhance the Sport provision for all our children. The Sport Premium Allocation and Reports can be found at the bottom of this page.
Swimming
Pupils from YR.2&Yr.3 participate in the Local Authority Swimming Programme. We swim at Southbury Leisure Centre for the duration of a fifteen week programme starting after February Half-Term.
Competitive Sport
St. John’s School is extremely committed to developing competition in Sport across the school. Despite being the smallest school in Enfield, our pupils are encouraged to participate in a variety of competitive sport such as:
Netball, football, cross country, rounders, cricket and athletics
For several years now this commitment has been recognised by the school being awarded the Sainsbury’s School Games Mark
