Lunches
Since September 2014, all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have been offered a free school meal at no cost to the parent or guardian. All you need to do is complete a Universal Infant Free School Meal (UIFSM) form available from the school office. We encourage all infant children to participate in free school meals as those provided by the Local Authority adhere to a strictly balanced Healthy Eating menu. This also saves you the job of preparing a packed lunch for your child every day. The children enjoy the dining hall experience with their friends and often ‘picky eaters’ really improve their eating habits when dining with their friends and choosing their own food.
Following on from the Mayor of London’s announcement, from September 2023, for one year, all children in all years are entitled to receive a free meal. We would encourage all children to take up this offer and enjoy a daily hot lunch with us.
From the Summer Half Term the catering at the school is provided by Stir Foods. To view their website click here.

Please note that we will ask parents to provide a packed lunch for their child when the children are off site (e.g. a school trip) over the lunch time. if you are eligible for Pupil premium (not the UIFSM) then we will offer a pre-made packed lunch from the school kitchen.
If you have a child in Year 3, 4, 5 or 6, and you are receiving Income based Job Seekers Allowance or Income Support from the D.S.S., your children are entitled to free school meals, so please ask for a form from the school office or the Education Department. If you are on Income Support, please register your children for a free school meal, even if you wish to provide your own.
If you are not receiving benefits, you may still have the right to free school meals and should apply to the Education Department or ask at school. All enquiries are strictly confidential.
Please click here to check your eligibility (there is a guide at the bottom of the page to help you too). It’s quick and easy but in case you get stuck, the pdf below gives step by step instructions of how to apply. All you will require is your; name, date of birth and National Insurance number.
