Bible Studies Group

We have established a very popular Bible Study group that introduces pupils to how to closely study passages of scripture. 

 

The group is open to all members of Emerald Class, and is over-subscribed!

Sessions start with a game or activity that feeds in to the rest of the time together.  The first couple of sessions explore the Bible as a concept – discovering that it is not one book, but a library of 66 books written by a huge collection of authors over a vast period.  We then start thinking about what sort of things we need to think about when looking in detail at a passage – differences in culture, location, society etc. – before putting those things into practice by exploring short passages from the scriptures in detail.  These bible studies reveal to us amazing things about how much God loves us, and how we can live our lives as his followers.
