From September 2024, the Department for Education requires all mainstream state-funded schools to provide a 32.5-hour week (equivalent to 6.5-hour days).

At St John’s, the school day runs from 8:40am to 3:10pm.

For safety and to ease congestion, dismissal is staggered as follows:

• Ruby Class (EYFS): 2:55pm

• Sapphire Class (KS1): 3:00pm

• Diamond Class (Years 3 & 4): 3:05pm

• Emerald Class (Years 5 & 6): 3:10pm
