Starting somewhere new is a big step for every child, and at St John’s we take great care to make each transition as smooth, positive and exciting as possible. Whether children are joining us in Nursery, beginning Reception, or moving on to Year 1, we see transition as a journey we take together with families.

Our approach is gentle and supportive, giving children time to settle, build trust with adults and make friends at their own pace. Parents are closely involved at every stage, and we value open communication so that we can work in partnership to ensure every child feels safe, confident and ready for their next adventure.
