At St John’s, our policies explain how we work together as a school community. They set out our values, expectations and procedures so that everyone – pupils, parents and staff – knows what to expect and how we can support one another.
Policies matter because they:
Keep children safe and well cared for.
Promote fairness, consistency and high standards.
Reflect our Christian ethos and the values that guide school life.
Help families understand how the school is run and how children are supported.
To make it easier to find what you are looking for, our policies are grouped into four main areas:
Safeguarding – how we protect children, covering child protection and online safety.
Inclusion and SEND – how we meet the needs of every learner, promote equality of opportunity and support children with additional needs.
Teaching and Learning – how we deliver the curriculum, support progress and ensure high-quality education for all pupils.
School Policies and Procedures – the day-to-day systems that guide school life, including behaviour, attendance and communication.
All of our policies are reviewed regularly in line with statutory guidance and the needs of our school.
