Curriculum

At St John’s, we believe every child deserves a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum that nurtures curiosity, creativity and confidence. Rooted in the National Curriculum and enriched by our Christian vision to "shine like stars", our approach ensures children build strong foundations in English and Maths while also enjoying a wide range of subjects (Science, Religious Education (RE), Art, Design and Technology (D&T), Computing, French, Geography, History, Music, PE and PSHE/RSE).

In the Early Years, our curriculum is carefully planned to support children’s first steps in learning through play, exploration and discovery. As pupils move through school, we develop their knowledge and skills progressively, making meaningful links between subjects and real-life experiences.

Our curriculum also places a strong emphasis on personal development, wellbeing and opportunities to contribute positively to the school, church and local community.
