After a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon at the Enfield Borough Athletics event at the impressive Lee Valley Athletics Stadium, St John’s returned home with plenty to celebrate. Our athletes gave it their all, showing determination, teamwork and fantastic sporting spirit throughout the competition.

A huge congratulations goes to Mateo, Kayden, Emmanuel, and the Year 6 boys’ relay team, who all stormed to first place in their events and proudly brought home gold medals. Their performances were outstanding and a real testament to their hard work and commitment.

But the day wasn’t just about winning. Every single athlete contributed valuable points to our overall score, helping St John’s secure a very impressive 8th place in what was an extremely competitive field of schools. The effort, resilience and positivity shown by all our competitors made us incredibly proud.

A big thank you must also go to our wonderful parents for transporting the children and for their constant encouragement and support. Events like these simply wouldn’t be possible without you.

Well done to everyone who took part — a brilliant achievement for St John’s. Let’s hope next year we can move even further up the table!
